American singer-songwriter Kesha has excluded Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ name from the lyrics of her hit song following the rapper’s accusation of rape by his ex-girlfriend Cassie in a significant lawsuit.

The 36-year-old artist removed the P Diddy reference from the 2009 track ‘TiK ToK’ during performances on Friday in Oakland and on Saturday at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles.

Kesha, currently on her Only Love Tour, originally began the song with the lyrics: ‘Wake up in the mornin’ feelin’ like P. Diddy.’

However, in her recent performances, she altered it to: ‘Wake up in the morning’ feelin’ just like me.’

The singer had performed the song in Denver a few days before Cassie’s lawsuit, with the lyrics remaining unchanged.

Kesha seems to be expressing support for Cassie, especially considering her own history of filing a lawsuit against record producer Dr. Luke in 2014.

R&B singer Cassie filed a federal lawsuit against Diddy on Thursday, revealing explosive rape allegations against the hip-hop legend.

However, on Friday, they both issued statements announcing that they had reached a settlement. No specific details about the terms of the agreement were disclosed.

‘I have decided to resolve this matter amicably on terms that I have some level of control,’ Cassie said.

‘I want to thank my family, fans and lawyers for their unwavering support.’

Diddy said: ‘We have decided to resolve this matter amicably. I wish Cassie and her family all the best. Love.’

Diddy’s attorney emphasized that, by reaching a settlement, his client was not acknowledging any wrongdoing.

The lawsuit asserted that Diddy exerted control and mistreated Cassie for over a decade, providing her with drugs, subjecting her to physical abuse, and coercing her into engaging in sexual activities with numerous male prostitutes.

The couple, who first met in 2005 when she was 19, separated in 2018. The lawsuit alleged that before the conclusion of their relationship, he forcibly entered her home and sexually assaulted.
