Police in Kaduna rescue three kidnap victims and arrest suspects.

Police in Kaduna State are said to have freed three persons who were kidnapped recently by suspected bandits looting the state.

Kidandan is a small town in the state’s Giwa Local Government Area where the abducted victims were found and freed.

The victims were retrieved on Monday, November 13, according to the report, which was confirmed by the Command’s spokesperson, ASP Mansur Hassan, who met with KADUNIA journalists on Wednesday.

The victims were allegedly abducted by the bandits on October 3 while travelling to Kano via the Kaduna-Abuja Motorway, according to Hassan.

He added that further patrols in the vicinity forced the bandits to give up their hostages, which resulted to the victims’ successful rescue. The family of the rescued victims have also been reunited with them.

“On Tuesday at about 1800hrs, a team patrolling the vulnerable area sighted a man in excruciating pain with a swollen face.

“When questioned, the man said that he was attacked with a hammer by a passenger who robbed his motorcycle,” According to the report, the police spokesperson said.

The spokesman said that the suspect was captured in the Bagadaza Dogarawa area of Sabo Garin Zaria LGA as a result of the authorities’ quick response. A hammer and a motorbike were also taken from the suspect, and an investigation is presently in progress.

Hassan urged the public to cooperate and underlined the police force’s commitment to fighting crime in the area.
