A lawyer, Timothy Olamide Olaniyi, has leveled accusations against a police officer for assaulting him at the Lagos State Police Command in Ikeja.
Olaniyi stated that he went to the police command to inquire about a client who had been arrested a month prior.
However, he claimed that upon arrival, he was subjected to physical violence akin to that of a “condemned criminal” and informed that not all cases were within the purview of lawyers.
Following this incident, Olaniyi filed a complaint with the Lagos State Police Complaint Response Unit on X app.
