Nigerian transgender, Jay Boogie, discussed the negativity he faced from Nigerians after requesting financial help due to a reported unsuccessful plastic surgery.

In November, the transgender influencer shared that he felt like he was “dying” following a cosmetic surgery in Lekki, Lagos, on October 30. He mentioned that the female doctor at the clinic did a poor job, leading him to be hospitalized. He pleaded with Nigerians to contribute to his medical bills since all his savings had run out.

Kind-hearted Nigerians set up a GoFundMe account to collect donations for him, but later they announced their intention to refund the money to the public, citing doubts about Jay Boogie’s honesty. They also dismissed the assertion that both of his kidneys had failed, as stated by a medical doctor close to Jay Boogie.

Jay Boogie later disclosed that he had been discharged from the hospital and is currently recovering. He refuted allegations of scamming Nigerians and asserted that he genuinely needed financial assistance to cover his medical expenses. However, he admitted that he never experienced kidney failure.

During an interview with Chude Jidonwo, he was asked to address the criticism he faced from Nigerians while he was in the hospital.

Jay Boogie, whose real name is Daniel Anthony Nsika, revealed that despite facing public and social media bullying for his lifestyle, many of those same individuals send him private messages in his DM, expressing interest in connecting with him. He asserted that several of them request to be “inside” him to experience being with a “she-male.”

He mentioned that he opts not to expose them, despite their negative comments about him on public platforms, as he believes “they are not worth it.” Additionally, he disclosed receiving death threats from numerous Nigerians who threaten to harm him if they encounter him.

“Nigeria is not for me o. No, God forbid,” he said.

When questioned if he was amazed that Nigerians contributed to him when he sought assistance, he clarified that he was genuinely surprised because he had no clue that some people liked him.

He added: “Nigerians, they have the good, the bad, and the ugly. I never knew that those good ones, they liked me and all that by supporting me…”

He said that some people came into his DM and asked him to repent first before they would donate to him.

“Can you imagine?” He asked.
