NAFDAC, through its Investigation & Enforcement Directorate, has intensified efforts to combat drug hawking in Lagos, particularly in the Apapa area.
The recent raid resulted in the apprehension of several drug hawkers and the seizure of a significant quantity of illicit drugs, including aphrodisiacs, tramadol, antibiotics, and over-the-counter medications.
The street value of the confiscated drugs is estimated to be around Fifty Million Naira.
Those involved in the illegal drug trade will face prosecution, and the seized drugs will be destroyed as part of NAFDAC’s ongoing campaign to tackle unauthorized pharmaceutical distribution and sale.
