Lionel Messi might team up with Cristiano Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia as Pro League officials are actively considering a loan move for the Inter Miami star.

Following Inter Miami’s failure to qualify for the Major League Soccer playoffs, Messi is set to remain inactive until February after the regular season, unless he secures a brief loan opportunity in another location.

As per reports from Sky Sports via Marca, officials from the Saudi Pro League are preparing to make an offer to Argentina’s World Cup-winning captain following Miami’s playoff disappointment.

It appears they are eager to entice him away from the MLS with a six-month loan deal, allowing him to rejoin Inter in time for their 2024 season.

Internal assessments are currently underway, and updates on a potential move for Messi are anticipated soon.

Prior to his historic transfer to Miami, Messi declined a staggering financial offer to play in Saudi Arabia, which would have amounted to at least $400 million.

In contrast, his longtime rival, Ronaldo, signed a lucrative $200 million per year contract with Pro League team Al-Nassr earlier this year.
