Lagos State has published a catalog of churches, mosques, and other establishments prohibited from operating due to noise pollution concerns.

The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has enforced closures on certain businesses as a response to noise pollution issues.

Those affected include churches, mosques, hotels, bar and an eatery in the Alimosho area of the state.

The agency disclosed the development via its X handle.

It wrote, “LASEPA took strong action against noise pollution and other environmental infractions by sealing off several establishments such as religious centers, hotels, an eatery, and a bar in Alimosho today.

“The affected establishments includes His Glory Cloud Church, Sure Word and Power Bible Church, Soliheena Central Mosque, Mountain of Power Deliverance, Cherubim & Seraphim Church, Iberuoluwa Mosque, Chirozz Hotel, Mayoral Hotel, West End Lounge & Bar, The Establishment Hotel, and Ayoola Foods.

“These measures were put in place to address the identified instances of noise pollution and other environmental transgressions.

The LASEPA’s ‘X’ post has published a notice regarding the closure of churches, clubs, and mosques due to noise pollution.
