Jodie Turner-Smith and Joshua Jackson have decided to part ways. The celebrated Gucci muse and actor have recently filed for divorce after nearly four years of marriage, as reported by various sources.
Additionally, she has requested joint custody of their three-year-old daughter.
The couple marked her 37th birthday in New York City on September 9, and they were recently spotted together at New York Fashion Week. However, Turner-Smith attended the Albie Awards last week, hosted by George Clooney, on her own.
She had expressed her admiration for Jackson since his days on Dawson’s Creek and shared that they first crossed paths at Usher’s 40th birthday party in 2018.
“On Late Night with Seth Meyers in 2021,” the actress disclosed, “When I first met my husband, we had a one-night stand. We’re in a two, three-year one-night stand now.”
In August 2019, Jackson and Turner-Smith sparked wedding rumors when they were seen obtaining a marriage license in Beverly Hills, California. Later reports confirmed that the couple tied the knot in December 2019.
Reflecting on their relationship, Turner-Smith told PEOPLE in April 2021, “I think it’s really beautiful to be with someone who is so supportive and loving. We’re so similar in many ways, like mirrors for each other. I love that human being.”
Jackson echoed the sentiment on Watch What Happens Live in May, saying he knew Turner-Smith was “the one” the moment she walked into the room.
In a 2022 interview with Forbes, Turner-Smith shared her reasons for wanting to marry Jackson, emphasizing how loved and supported she felt by him. “I had never been with anyone who wanted to lift me up the way he did,” she revealed. “That’s one of my favorite things about him.”
