Injunction Granted by Court to Protect A4 Realty Limited from Harassment by Nigerian Police, EFCC, and Other Agencies in Land Dispute Case.

The court has issued an injunction that prohibits Nigerian law enforcement agencies, including the police and EFCC, from subjecting A4 Realty Limited to any form of harassment in relation to a land dispute.

An interim injunction from the Lagos State High Court prohibits the Nigeria Police Force, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), and Access Bank from subjecting the real estate company, A4 Realty Limited, to harassment in connection with a land dispute.

A4 Realty lodged allegations of property fraud against Access Bank Plc, asserting that the bank employed the services of the Police, EFCC, and other entities to intimidate its directors and employees. A4 Realty also claimed, in an official statement, that Access Bank had engaged in the sale of a single property to two distinct companies.

In 2021, the real estate company claimed to have acquired the Ajiran property in Eti-Osa Local Government Area, Lagos, from Access Bank. However, the bank purportedly received a more favorable offer and subsequently sold the same property to a different purchaser.

In the provided statement, A4 contended that Access Bank employed, “the Nigerian police and EFCC to go after the Directors and officers of A4 Realty Ltd over a concluded property transaction” after receiving “N500 million from A4 Realty Ltd for said property” which was “sold to A4 Realty Ltd as far back as 2021”.

The real estate firm further alleged that Access Bank introduced as a “little-known company called Trebesak Nigeria Limited as a front purporting the Company to be the new owner of the property.”

“We challenge Access Bank Plc and its front, Trebesak Nigeria Limited to furnish the public with any document that contradict our Company’s title over the property. We are not unaware of the frantic efforts by Access Bank Plc to come up with a false narrative to cover up this fraud.

A4 Realty Ltd has in its possession and will make public uncontroverted documentary proof of its title to the property to expose the lies and falsehood by the Bank. We want Nigerians and international community to be aware of the property fraud and corporate bullying by Access Bank Plc against A4 Realty Ltd,” A4 Realty said.

An injunction ex-parte has been granted by the Lagos State High Court upon A4 Reality Limited’s application.
