Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential candidate in the February 25, 2023 election, Atiku Abubakar, held a press conference in Abuja on Monday to discuss the Supreme Court’s verdict, which dismissed his appeal for lacking merit and upheld President Bola Tinubu’s victory.

The 2023 presidential candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, alleges that President Bola Tinubu has violated the law. Atiku asserts that Tinubu submitted forged certificates to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

During a global press conference, Atiku emphasized that INEC should have prevented Tinubu from participating in the presidential election.

According to Atiku: “It’s about our reputation and the future, it’s about the kind of society we want to leave for the next generation and what kind of example we want to set for our children and their children.

“Incontrovertible evidence showed that Tinubu was not qualified to contest in the last presidential election because he forged the qualifying certificate which he submitted to INEC.

“A simple check on Tinubu’s past records would have shown INEC that Tinubu broke the law and should not have been allowed to contest the election in the first place.”

Remember that Atiku had taken Tinubu to the Supreme Court, appealing the Election Petition Tribunal’s decision with proof of forged certificates from Chicago State University (CSU).
