I’m passionate about grooming talents — Bernard Okoma

A talent manager, Bernard Okoma, says he had always known that he would go into the entertainment industry.

Okoma, who manages entertainers such as Emmanuella, Mark Angel and his comedy crew, Funnybone and Kolaboy, said, “As I grew older, I realised that I harbored a strong passion for show business. And, that was why I studied Theatre Arts at the University of Ibadan.

“Also, I love to spot and nurture new talents.

“Coupled with that, acting comes naturally to me. It did not take me time to come to the decision that this was what I wanted to do with my life. They say things become clearer when one knows oneself; so, I decided to shelve my other ambitions in pursuit of acting.”

Okoma also stated that he was currently promoting an Extended Play album, ‘Kola From the East’, by Kolaboy, one of the acts he manages.  He added, “I have some other projects that I am working on ‘behind the scenes’, and they will all be unveiled in due time. I also have plans to develop more artistes that will take the industry by storm.

“It has been a tough journey but I’m thankful that the brand grew from zero to its present level, and is still moving ahead.”
