Supermodel Linda Evangelista, a Canadian, has stated she isn’t prepared to pursue a love relationship.
In a recent interview with The Sunday Times, the 58-year-old Canadian supermodel shared her views on finding love once more and stated that she is “not interested” in dating.
“I want to stop sleeping with people,” Evangelista declared to the publication. “I wish not to hear the sound of someone breathing.”
The iconic model revealed that her most recent relationship ended “definitely before the Cool-Sculpting,” alluding to the fat-loss procedure that she claimed left her “brutally disfigured and permanently deformed” following sessions from August 2015 to February 2016.
“I was clueless. Absolutely clueless…there had to be something endearing to fall for,” Evangelista said of the relationship.
Evangelista was previously wed to Gérald Marie, the former director of the Paris office of Elite Model Management. When she was only 22 and he was 37, the couple got married in 1987 and got divorced in 1993.
Evangelista claimed in the September premiere of the Apple TV+ documentary The Super Models that she was physically abused by her ex-husband.
The runway star stated during the performance that she was inspired to come forward after more than a dozen women accused her of rape and other sexual misbehaviour against Marie in 2020.
At the time, Céline Bekerman, Marie’s attorney, refuted every accusation.
Evangelista claimed to The Sunday Times that she was “afraid” and “doesn’t know” if anyone else knew about the alleged abuse at the time, so she kept it to herself.
She claimed that because “it was everything” to her, she used the money she made as a model to “get out” of her marriage.
