Haaland’s late goal secures victory for City

Norwegian forward Erling Haaland, stole the win for Manchester City as the Blues beat Fulham 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

Haaland was the hero of the match with his late winner in the 95th minute of extra time which turned the game around for the Blues.

Joao Cancelo’s red card in the first half had seen the Blues struggle to secure all three points until  Haaland came into the game from the bench as a substitute.

The win pushes City back to top of the league table, at least for 24 hours, with 32 points, with Fulham in eight place with 19 points.

Haaland had suffered a knock  last week in the Champions League on his return to Borussia Dortmund, that kept him out of the midweek game against Sevilla, leaving fans to wonder if he would return for today’s match against Fulham.

Midfielder and captain, Kevin De Bruyne was man of the match.
