Governor Fubara reveals Rivers State’s heavy debt load from the previous administration led by Wike.

Governor Siminalayi Fubara addressed the significant debt challenge inherited from his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, during an event at Ebubu community.

He emphasized that numerous contractors, responsible for various projects under Wike’s administration, are now seeking completion funds from his government.

Despite previous claims of a clean balance sheet with contractors, Fubara revealed that the outstanding debt owed to these contractors amounts to billions.

Expressing concern over the situation, he highlighted the need for transparency and informed the public about the current state of affairs.
