The leader of Ughelli North Local Government in Delta State, Godwin Adode, is getting praise from a former captain of Super Sheraton Football Club of Ughelli, Mr. Emmanuel Kporharor. This is because the chairman is working on fixing up the Ughelli Township Stadium on a large scale.

Kporharor mentioned that the chairman’s current work on renovating and maintaining the Ughelli Township Stadium aligns with the MORE Agenda of the state government in Delta.

In a discussion with reporters in Ughelli, he expressed his concern about the stadium and its support facilities, which have been neglected for years. He noted that the Delta State government has been paying someone every month for maintaining the sports facilities, even though they were in bad shape.

Kpohraror believes that revitalizing the stadium will help with finding and nurturing talents, providing opportunities for the youth and keeping them away from the streets.

He said fixing up the stadium would help reduce crime in the area, emphasizing that sports bring people together.

He asked the people in the local area to contribute to developing sports in the council and the entire state.

He especially requested support from the Delta State government and all Nigerians to help Ughelli Local Government improve the Township Stadium.
