EFCC Apprehends 48 Alleged Fraudsters in Delta State.

In a recent development, the Benin Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has made a significant stride in combating internet fraud.

Their operatives successfully apprehended 48 individuals suspected of engaging in fraudulent activities online in Asaba, Delta State.

According to a statement released by the Command on Monday, the arrests were made at various locations in Asaba following meticulous intelligence work that identified these individuals’ suspicious activities.

Among those apprehended are Chinonso Nnemeka, Chidenbere Ekwealor, Emeka Joseph, Emmanuel Onyeka Onyeukwu, Solomon Omojewe, Miracle Ogonnaya, Pius Innocent, Ebuka Odukwe Osita, Godspower Efe, Chinedu Odiaka, Ogbemudia Wisdom, Okocha Nduka, Victor Chukwuma, Ebuka Ohika, and Bright Odinakachukwu.

The arrests were made at various spots in Asaba after authorities received intelligence about their dubious activities.

Among the seized items were nine high-end vehicles, including three Mercedes Benz GLK 350s, a Toyota Camry SE, two Lexus RX 350s, two Toyota Camry LEs, and a Mercedes Benz GLA 250 4Matic. Additionally, phones and laptops were confiscated during the operation.

They have provided valuable statements and will face court charges once the investigations are finalized.
