During a protest, Governor Makinde aligned himself with the NLC, expressing assurance that the prevailing hardships would soon come to an end.

On Tuesday, February 27, Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde participated in a peaceful protest alongside labor unions and their affiliates, where he offered assurances that the current hardships in the country would soon dissipate.

Addressing the protesters at Total Garden Junction, Oritamefa, Ibadan, Makinde arrived during the speech of Oyo NLC chairman, Comrade Kayode Martins, and was warmly welcomed by the crowd.

Expressing his awareness of the nation’s difficulties, Makinde pledged to be part of the generation that would rectify the country’s issues.

He mentioned responding to NLC national president, Comrade Joe Ajero, who asserted that no state in the country was honoring wage awards to workers.

Additionally, Makinde assured the workers that their letters of protest and grievances would be conveyed to President Bola Tinubu.
