Cubana Chief Priest granted N10 million bail by court for alleged Naira abuse.

Popular Instagram personality Pascal Okechukwu, known as Cubana Chief Priest, entered a plea of not guilty for alleged Naira abuse. He denied the three-count charge filed against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The socialite appeared before Justice Kehinde Ogundare at the Federal High Court in Lagos on Wednesday for arraignment.

The EFCC accused Cubana Chief Priest of violating the Central Bank Act of 2007 by allegedly abusing the Naira at a social event.

Following his plea, the court granted him bail of ₦10 million with two responsible sureties in similar amounts. These sureties must be gainfully employed at either the federal or state government level, not below grade level 16, and possess landed property verified by the court.

Additionally, Cubana Chief Priest must surrender his travel passport to the court’s custody.

He has seven days to meet the bail conditions, during which time he was released to his lawyer’s custody, who must guarantee his appearance in court. Failure to do so may result in remand in a correctional facility.
