Collision of two BRT buses in Lagos results in numerous injuries.

On Tuesday morning, two Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) buses collided head-on along the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway.

The incident happened around 7:30 a.m. on the dedicated BRT route, specifically in front of Conoil at Valley Estate, heading towards IleZik.

According to a statement on its social media account, the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) indicated that the accident had a minor impact on traffic flow.

Nevertheless, LASTMA pointed out that its personnel, along with other relevant authorities such as the Nigerian Police Force, were present at the scene to oversee the situation.

In a separate incident, two more BRT buses collided head-on on Tuesday morning in the busy Dopemu district of Lagos, causing injuries to passengers.

This accident occurred on the dedicated BRT lane, leading to several people sustaining injuries.

The exact cause of the accident remains unknown, although witnesses mentioned that one of the buses might have lost control and veered into the opposite lane.
