Anthony Joshua hopes to return home with N64bn from Francis Ngannou Fight

Anthony Joshua and Francis Ngannou are poised to reap substantial rewards from their upcoming bout in Saudi Arabia scheduled for this weekend.

The anticipated showdown is scheduled for this Friday night, promising significant earnings regardless of the victor.

Joshua aims to pave the way for a triumphant 2024 campaign, aspiring to regain his world championship title, whereas Ngannou seeks to capitalize on his inaugural professional encounter with Tyson Fury.

While official figures for the purse and prize money await confirmation, reports from Saudi Arabia suggest Joshua’s potential earnings to be close to £40 million, excluding pay-per-view fees and any additional prize money.

Ngannou, on the other hand, is expected to pocket $20 million, approximately £16 million. This sum would mark the highest payday of Ngannou’s career, surpassing the $10 million he earned from the Fury fight.

Notably, these purse fees do not encompass pay-per-view revenues or bonuses for victory or endurance in the ring. Therefore, Ngannou stands to potentially exceed $20 million for a maximum of 30 minutes of action in the ring.
