Nollywood veteran Kanayo O. Kanayo recently introduced his first son, Clinton Mbaise, to the film industry. In a video shared on his Instagram on Monday, Kanayo announced that Clinton would join his production company, Simpliciter Associates Productions, as an assistant production manager and personal assistant.
Kanayo emphasized that Clinton is there to work and should be treated like any other crew member, without special treatment due to their family connection.
He stated, “This is Clinton Onyeze Mbaise, my first son. And he is joining us today as assistant production manager and as my personal assistant. Do not treat him like my son…He is here to work…Treat him as a member of the production crew.”
Kanayo revealed that Clinton recently graduated from Babcock University with a degree in Information and Communication Technology. He emphasized that Clinton will undergo training in filmmaking and management within the company before pursuing further studies.
In his caption, Kanayo underscored the importance of children gaining work experience within family businesses or other establishments, stating, “We should let our children work in our organizations or other establishments to appreciate industry.”
