A 32-year-old man reported missing has been identified as one of the two individuals purportedly slain by students from ATBU in Bauchi.

Rehoboth Joseph Deshi, a 32-year-old graduate of Federal University Kashare, Gombe State, was reported missing in Bauchi State.

He left his residence in the Rafin Zurfi Yelwa area on Saturday, February 17, 2024, intending to visit a friend but did not return.

Despite extensive search efforts by his friends and family, he remained unaccounted for.

Tragically, his lifeless body was discovered abandoned in a bush on the outskirts of Kuhu village via Furum ward in Bauchi Local Government Area early on Sunday, February 18.

Bauchi State Police Command’s spokesperson, SP Ahmaed Mohammed Wakil, confirmed that Rehoboth Joseph Deshi was one of the two individuals allegedly killed by suspected cultists.

The suspects, identified as Hoomvez Martins Nyelong, Daniel Audu Adamu, and Maigari Inuwa, were apprehended after being spotted in the vicinity.

Notably, two of the suspects are reported to be students of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU).
