48-Hour Ultimatum: Southeast Youths Call for Governor Soludo’s Resignation.

Governor Prof Chukwuma Soludo

The Coalition of South East Youth Leaders (COSEYL) has urged Governor Prof Chukwuma Soludo to step down, citing concerns about his perceived failure to address security challenges in Anambra State.

This call comes in response to a recent violent incident on Thursday night, where unidentified gunmen attacked a convoy associated with Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain Chief Chris Uba, resulting in the death of two policemen, two civilians, and the abduction of several others.

The assault resulted in the loss of lives among the security personnel, while the politician managed to escape unharmed in his armored vehicle.

In response, COSEYL, through its President General, Goodluck Ibem, conveyed concerns about the security challenges affecting the state. The coalition additionally urged the prompt apprehension of the criminals responsible for the disturbing attacks.

“It is worrisome that such a deadly attack could be executed during the Christmas period, a time highly respected and revered by Christians all over the world.

“This is a big slap and we will not take it lying low. Those hoodlums must be arrested and prosecuted immediately.

“We give Governor Charles Soludo 48 hours to Immediately resign and apologize to the good people of Anambra State for leadership incompetence and lack of capacity to defend his people”, the statement added.
