Ortom’s ex-aide faults North-Central youths on Shettima

A former aide to Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom now chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in the state, Daniel Gbabo, on Sunday, said politicians who are against the  selection of Kashim Shettima as running mate to APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu,  are on a mission to self-destruction.

Gbabo said the APC presidential candidate made the right choice by picking Shettima as his running mate.

Reacting to a press statement by the North Central Progressives Youths, protesting Shettima’s choice, Gbabo said Tinubu will not  bow to the whims and caprices of the group he described as ‘faceless, self-serving group under the guise of North Central Progressives Youths.’

In a statement issued and made available to journalists in Makurdi, Gbabo said, “There have been reports in the papers and other media outlets of a protest staged by a group operating under the name, North Central Progressives Youths, protesting the choice of Sen. Kashim Shettima as the vice presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress.

“Party politics and governance are not the same, which is why those who have chosen the part of preaching are doing it in the worship centres. Are they more Christians than the rest of us supporting the Tinubu/Shettima ticket?”
